Midwifery & Nursing Admission Circular 2021-2022
The Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council provides three different degrees. The Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery and the Diploma in Midwifery are three-year programs, whereas the BSc in Nursing is a four-year program. If you want to pursue a career in nursing, you can apply for admission. Minimum Qualification
- Applicants must be citizens of Bangladesh and not over 22 years of age.
- Applicants must have passed SSC / Equivalent examination in 2018 & 2019 and HSC / Equivalent examination in 2020 & 2021.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc in Nursing): Science students must have a minimum GPA (Grade Point Average) of 7.00 in SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations. However, less than GPA 3.00 will not be acceptable in any exam and both exams must have a GPA of 3.00 in Biology.
Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery / Diploma in Midwifery: Science, Arts & Commerce all groups of students can apply for this unit. But they must have total GPA 6.00 in SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations.
Marks Distribution
Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of 150 marks. 100 marks will be allotted for the admission test and 50 marks will be allotted for GPA marks. The admission test will be in 1 hour in MCQ method. Subjectwise marks distribution given below-

GPA Count Mechanism
50 marks were determined for assessing student SSC and HSC GPA scores.
- SSC GPA Score x 4 = 20 (Highest)
- HSC GPA Score x 6 = 30 (Highest)
Seat Distribution
There are thousands of seats for BSc in Nursing & Diploma in Midwifery courses and the number of seats may increase due to government instruction.
- BSc in Nursing Course – 1200
- Diploma Nursing Science & Midwifery Institute – 2730
- Diploma in Midwifery – 1050
Special Quota
- 2% of the seats will be reserved for the freedom fighter’s children and their children (Grandson).
- Out of the remaining 98% seats, 60% of candidates will be elected on national merit and 40% candidates on district quota.

Interested candidates can apply for admission through the online-based website bnmc.teletalk.com.bd. You need this information to apply for admission –

- Scanned Photo & Signature with proper dimension.
Payment Method
After completing the online application, the website will provide a confirmation form with a user ID and password. Now you can pay your admission fee through Teletalk Prepaid SIM. Here are payment instructions-
1st SMS: BNMC <Space> User ID and send to 16222 number. Example – BNMC D7ADEX
2nd SMS: BNMC <Space> Yes <Space>Pin number send to 16222 number. Example – BNMC YES 462364
After sending a successfully SMS admission fee has been deducted from your balance and you will get a confirmation SMS with your User Id & Password.
